Ready, set, go: Final’s day!

It is Sunday, March 15th – the 31st finals day of the Yonex Badminton Swiss Open is upon us! The hall is still quiet and almost empty, but a queue of eager spectators has formed outside the entrance.

“It all went as (un)planned – but in the best possible way,” Rocco Verrelli, member of the organising committee, tells us with a smile. After five days of competition so far, which have already featured many thrilling matches, both the audience and the staff are looking forward to the five promising finals.

The courts are ready, the athletes are warming up and focusing on their matches. The special, eager atmosphere can be felt in the stands and backstage – nothing stands in the way of a final day of badminton spectacle in Basel!
