Mixed doubles: Three Chinese pairs in the semi-finals
In the top half of the draw, two unseeded Chinese pairs made it through to the semi-finals: in the quarter-finals, ZHU Yi Jun/LI Qian (world No. 74) first defeated the Thai pair Pakkapon TEERARATSAKUL/Sapsiree TAERATTANACHAI (world No. 21) 21–17, 21–23, 21–16, who had knocked the top-seeded mixed doubles pair out of the tournament the previous day. Shortly afterwards, GAO Jia Xuan/WU Meng Ying (world No. 27) also reached the semi-finals with a 10–21, 21–19, 21–9 victory over the Danish pair Mads VESTERGAARD/Christine BUSCH (world No. 18).
In the lower half of the draw, Amri SYAHNAWI/Nita Violina MARWAH from Indonesia (world No. 16; No. 8 seeds) and the Chinese pair CHENG Xing/ZHANG Chi (world No. 14; No. 6 seeds) reached the last four of the mixed doubles. On Friday, Amri Syahnawi/Nita Violina Marwah won the fiercely contested match against their compatriots Adnan MAULANA/Indah Cahya Sari JAMIL (world number 19) 21-18, 20-22, 21-19. Cheng Xing/Zhang Chi had previously managed to defeat the third-seeded Indonesians Jafar HIDAYATULLAH/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel PASARIBU (world number 10) 21-19, 21-17. Zhang Chi had finished second at the St. Jakobshalle in 2025 alongside her compatriot Zhu Yi Jun.
