Sindhu and Sen triumph in Saarbrücken

Two familiar faces from Basel won the singles titles at the Hylo Open (Super 500) in Saarbrücken on Sunday, 1 November. P. V. Sindhu and Lakshya Sen both won in straight games.

India's P. V. Sindhu was in a class of her own throughout the week. In the final, the second seed beat Denmark's Line Højmark Kjærsfeldt 21-12, 21-14 in 39 minutes, without dropping a single game all tournament. For the two-time Olympic medallist it is her second World Tour title of the season, after the Japan Open (Super 750) in July. Sindhu won the Swiss Open in Basel in 2022.

In the men's final, Lakshya Sen defeated world number six Jonatan Christie 21-17, 21-10. Christie was the men's singles champion at the 2022 Swiss Open. It is Sen's first title since the 2025 Australian Open and his second at the Hylo Open.
