From 10 to 15 March 2026, one of the world’s largest and most prestigious HSBC World Tour tournaments, the YONEX Swiss Open, took place at the St. Jakobshalle in Basel. At this world-ranking tournament, with prize money of USD 250,000, players competed for important qualification points for the 2026 World Championships in India, amongst other things.

Many world-class badminton players from around 50 nations took advantage of this opportunity and played in Basel.
An attractive foyer featuring an Asian restaurant, sales and information stands, competitions and more provided entertainment and culinary highlights alongside Centre Court.
